As we know sabily is an another kind of ubuntu family, Sabily is an operating system, like MS Windows or Mac OS X. Without an operating system, a computer is unusable, and Windows is not the only OS available!

Sabily is free, already includes all software you need in your everyday tasks, and is customized specifically for Muslims. And even if you didn’t buy Windows, you should not use pirated copies because then you are still supporting Microsoft by adding to the impression it’s the only OS available.

O.k, this conversion need Internet Conection from your ubuntu 9.10 and let’s begin !!!

1.  Open terminal (Applications+Accessories+terminal) and write this command

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude safe-upgrade
sudo aptitude dist-upgrade
sudo wget http://www.sabily.org/sources.list.d/`lsb_release -cs`.list –output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/sabily.list; sudo apt-get -q update; sudo apt-get –yes -q –allow-unauthenticated install sabily-keyring; sudo apt-get -q update

there are 3 commands above and waitting for completing download upgrade package, and we need to install/download sabily package using this command.

sudo aptitude install sabily

and type your password and type Y when terminal ask you to get permission to access instalation .

if you’ll add the additional package “webstric” you can type this command

sudo aptitude install webstrict

Restart your computer/laptop and..

Alhamdulillah, now you have Islamic Operating System that usefull in your daily activities.
